INNOVATION

“To innovate is to use knowledge, and generate it if necessary, to create products, services or processes, which are new to the company, or to improve existing ones, thereby succeeding in the market” (Oslo Manual 1997)

It conveys to us that to innovate is to use knowledge to create products, services and processes and bring them to the market

Innovation is synonymous with successfully producing, assimilating and exploiting a novelty, in the economic and social spheres, in a way that provides unprecedented solutions to problems and thus responds to the needs of people and society (EC White Paper)

In the definition of Innovation in the EC White Paper, another dimension is introduced: social innovation, that is to say that innovation responds to people’s needs.

so now a video from youtube that i choose beacuse is a good explanation of a innnovation is.

EMPHATIZE A BASIC BUSINESS SKILL

Why is empathy essential?
In a survey conducted by the consultancy Development Dimensions International (DDI) to some 15,000 business leaders, it was concluded that empathy was what most influenced employee performance. Why? Because one of the characteristics of empathy is that it is the way in which the company’s vision is transmitted. Therefore, it allows employees to feel part of an integrated set or not. Entrepreneurs who aspire to lead businesses that work should strive to share the company’s successes with employees with the idea that they feel the company as their own. Magazines, emails, meetings … Any channel is valid as long as it generates a culture of empathy and cohesion in the work environment.

In another work done by the firm Businessolver, it is concluded that 31 percent of the employees believe that obtaining benefits is the only thing that matters to the company in which they work, and that managers do not care about what really happens in the lowest steps of the command pyramid. This statistic indicates that a large number of workers around the world view their work as a place without emotions, dark, demanding, dominated by pressure in order to achieve the sole objective of the organization that is financial success at the expense of the force labor.

A company that is within that 31 percent will have problems, as the morale of the employees is low and, therefore, their productivity will suffer. You can never forget that people are the basis of success. By promulgating a more empathic approach, a more respectful, positive and productive work environment will be generated for the company. That is the great importance of leadership based on empathic principles: making the most of the people around you.

THE IMPORTANCE OF A GOOD PITCHING

Resultado de imagen para pitching

In short, an Elevator Pitch is a synthesis about your personal and professional profile, and about the business you are undertaking. The Elevator Pitch, therefore, is a summary of your business exposed in less than a minute (the time you have in the course of an elevator ride) with a clear, simple and engaging speech to the listener. It is usually used before potential investors or business angels, not only with the aim of selling them our idea, but to attract their interest so that they can call us again in the future.
You have to be clear about what you are going to say, for this it is necessary to know your company well, what you want to sell and how you want to sell it. Your speech should answer a series of frequently asked questions that will help to specify your pitch: Who are you? What do you do? What is your company and what do you do? What sets you apart from the rest? Why should they bet on you?

Remember that the answers to all these questions have to be concise; You cannot leave doubts about which sector the company is integrated in or to which audience it is aimed. For example, if you tell him that you are dedicated to the mobile phone sector, he will ask you, but do you work for any company? Leave no doubt: I am the creator of the world’s first ecological mobile. Once you’re facing a potential investor, remember, there are many more candidates interested in him, just like you, so you have to be the only one who can impress him. Here are 6 easy steps to hit the spot with your speech:

To surprise. Investors are already accustomed to listening to many speeches every day, that your introduction will surprise them since the minute 0. For example: you have certainly not seen a 100% ecological mobile phone, right? We take the phone and we show it throughout the exhibition.
Present the problem. Teach that there is a problem in the market and that it is necessary to solve it, such as that pollution due to mobile phones that are thrown in the trash has tripled in recent years.
The only solution Our idea is the only solution to your problems and we have to present it as something innovative and that has never been seen before. Now is when the first 100% ecological and biodegradable phone appears so that we can also think about the environment.
The team behind. Exemplify what you and your team are capable of doing in a short time; How fast you can get the job done. You work hard to exploit all the biodegradable resources that you have within your reach with local suppliers.
Attraction. How attractive is your product in the market so that it can engage as many people as possible. For example: It is the first company in the world to manufacture such devices and can be used by all telephone companies in the market.
Closing. It ends with some ingenious phrase and that the investor is able to memorize.

Creativity

which is creativity if you are a person looking for different solutions or if you are a person who is easy to invent new things from nothing let me congratulate you, you are a creative person as well as musicians, graphic artists and architects, all of them are people cratives that go there around the world filling it with good new and fresh ideas

Simply put, creativity involves transforming your ideas, imagination, and dreams into reality. When you’re being creative, you can see the hidden patterns, make connections between things that aren’t normally related, and come up with new ideas. Creative ability depends on creative thinking which is part hard work but largely creative problem-solving.

Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi, the author of the book “Creativity: The Psychology of Discovery and Invention,” gives a pretty hefty definition of the word. He said, “Creativity is a central source of meaning in our lives … most of the things that are interesting, important, and human are the results of creativity… [and] when we are involved in it, we feel that we are living more fully than during the rest of life.”

Anyone can be creative. If you just dabble in painting, you’re no less creative than the person who makes it her entire career. While creativity was pushed aside because of the Industrial Revolution, it’s making a comeback amongst millenials in the information age, according to Hillary Grigonis. In one study of people ages 18 to 35, it was found that millennials are more likely to try a wider range of creative tasks like building a mobile app or learning how to knit than their older counterpart.

hey are always asking questions, coming up with creative solutions to one problem, and exhibiting playfulness. They have heightened emotional sensitivity, are usually seen as nonconforming and are not afraid to be seen as different or exhibiting unusual thoughts.

so be creative and think out of the box

WHAT ARE DESING THINKING?

It is a method to generate innovative ideas that focuses its effectiveness on understanding and solving the real needs of users. It comes from the way in which product designers work. Hence its name, which in Spanish is translated literally as «Design Thought,» although we prefer to do so as «The way designers think.»

Companies like Apple, Google or Zara use it. Being a great generator of innovation, it can be applied to any field. From the development of products or services to the improvement of processes or the definition of business models. Its applicability has our own imagination as limits.

Design Thinking is developed following a process in which those we consider its 5 differential characteristics are valued:

The generation of empathy: we must understand the problems, needs and desires of the users involved in the solution we are looking for. Regardless of what we are developing, it will always involve interaction with people. Satisfying them is the key to a successful outcome.

Teamwork, as it emphasizes the ability of individuals to provide uniqueness.

The generation of prototypes, since it defends that every idea must be validated before being assumed as correct. The Design Thinking promotes the identification of faults, so that when we give the desired solution, they have already been solved.

All this under an atmosphere in which the playfulness is promoted. It is about enjoying during the process, and thanks to that, to reach a mental state in which we unleash our potential.

Techniques with great visual and plastic content are developed during the process. This makes us put both our creative and analytical minds to work, resulting in innovative and at the same time feasible solutions.

PROBLEMS WHIT THINKING AT A CRITICAL MOMENT?

What do you do when a situation that is apparently out of your control? you become paralyzed, filled with fear, or perhaps you remain in control and face the situation, well whatever the case, you must apply your objective thinking, analyze the situation in which you face, observe and look for the best answer for it.

Maintaining good control of your emotions will make a difference when a dangerous situation appears, reasoning is another important part, assess and finally find a creative and viable solution.

Learning to solve a difficult situation leads to a feeling of individualism where you do not depend on someone else, you develop as a free, creative person who can get out of a difficult situation, it gives you that ability to solve things.

Always remember that for every problem there is a solution, looking for a way to solve it is our task to evaluate the possibilities and choose the right option gives us the power to feel free. Remember not to drown in a glass of water, think with that beautiful brain you have, exploit it to the fullest and do your best to solve a problem.

PEOPLE REALLY EVOLVE?

Over the years, going through different times the human being adapts, creates, grows, everything to be able to keep safe, comfortable, we invent really incredible things, so much that some did not even imagine a few years ago, but like our creations over time become more complex, do people evolve?

The question arose because many decades and innovations have passed but the human being, his thoughts, the way he behaves, remains the same, we remain the same, despite doing transcendental things, in essence we remain the same.

As we can see that we evolved, that we have not stagnated in some way, well I think that people do evolve, maybe not in a physical way, but in a mental way, despite the fact that as a society as a whole we continue to seek more or less the same goal for decades, there are small samples of people who are not satisfied with following the line and remain silent, people with the mind beyond the commons who seek their ideas to achieve goals that go beyond comfort and Survival to look for other goals.

And whether in the scientific field or in the cuntural and social, small mestras of leaders that show us that people evolved that we did not think the same as 50 years ago.

By innovating by looking for another angle by thinking differently we evolve our goals and evolve our being. So be happy to learn that we are different and that we are still on the play.
